In detail, this means the following for the Web items:
Role Menu
This Web item will be replaced by the role-based display of BI content in SAP NetWeaver Portal. In addition to the pure Web-based display of BI content in roles, additional functions result from this, especially in regard to display and editing of any content in one environment.
Alert Monitor
This Web item will be replaced with the universal worklist in the SAP NetWeaver Portal. Through the integration of information broadcasting (BEx Broadcaster) with the Alert Framework, any alerts (not just BI alerts) can be distributed and viewed using the same infrastructure and the same user interface.
Broadcaster
The BEx Broadcaster is available as in iView in the SAP NetWeaver Portal and can be included in any Web pages, roles or favorites.
Ad-hoc Query Designer
This Web item will be replaced by the BEx Web Analyzer. With the BEx Web Analyzer, any data views can be generated, saved, and distributed ad-hoc and by Drag & Drop. These can then also be used as data providers for BEx Web Applications, for example. Saving a BEx Query as a standalone object is still only available in the BEx Query Designer.
ABC Classification, What-If Prediction, Key Figure Overview
These Web items are no longer supported in this form.
Effects on Existing Data
Web templates that include these Web items have to
be adapted manually after they were loaded with the new BEx Web Application
Designer.
As with the Web templates in general, the existing
customer scenarios will continue to be supported in this area.
